The Wise One

Hello Friends,
This painting is inspired by my family's yearly hunt in Arkansas. My pap, who was my stepfather, actually named this painting. He was an avid hunter. He had very strict rules to follow about which deer he would allow to sacrifice their lives to feed our family. Absolutely no does, with young....for example. His laws were laid down and followed. I was debating over a name for this painting when it was finished. Pap said the name should be "The Wise One". I asked him to explain his thought. He told me, "Do you know how that deer got to be old enough to have a rack that size? Because he became...Wise...." It made perfect sense to me when he explained what he meant by that.  This is 5X7 Acrylic on Gessoed Masonite. It is available for $30 With FREE Shipping in the United States.
