Mardi Gras With a Coke

I have so much fun with ustream. I love the friends I have made. Some wonderful artists that are so generous to share their knowledge and offer suggestions. This painting is the finished one I started online the other night. This is a 6X6 oil on gessoed masonite. It's a still life I set up. The coke bottle was given to me by a co-worker. It's one of those small ones, ya know? She was drinking it with her lunch and I asked her if I could have it when she was done. She laughed and said, "What are you going to do with an empty coke bottle?" I told her I was going to paint it! LOL The mask is one I had to go shopping for. I found it on clearance for $2.50! So I put them all together and this painting is the result. I started out with the coke bottle sitting upright, and the wonderful artists friends I adore, suggested that I lay the coke bottle on it's side. I think they are so right! I hope you enjoy my impression of color as much as I enjoy bringing it to you. It's available for $30 with FREE Shipping within the United States. I have a gold stand to include for it to sit on that just sets it off!
