And Then There Were Two

Hello Friends,

Those of you that know me, know of my short time of having goats. I obtained 4 of them. They were wonderful! Three females and a male. The females were all pregnant. These ladies were so much fun and had such personality. I would walk out my front door and they would call to me. "Hello!", "What do you have to eat?". I woke up one morning and one mother had had twins overnight. The next morning, the next mother had the little boy in this painting. He would jump around and play with the twins. So cute! I had to sell them, since I didn't know if I would have to relocate due to work. This is an 8x10 painting in oil on gessoed panel, and is available with free shipping.

Hard At Work

Hello again, Friends,

I have been checking on my hives, again. My son and I have 5 hives now. Getting my Bee Venom Therapy! LOL It never fails, I always get stung. I'm used to it by now. Did you know that the Honey Bee accounts for 80% of all insect pollination? Without these ladies, we would see a significant decrease in the yield of fruits and vegetables. That's my bit of information for today. I love my bees, and chickens, and gardening. You can tell what is going on in my life by what comes from my easel. I hope you enjoy these peeks into my life in the forest. I certainly enjoy bringing them to you. This painting is 5x7 oil on gessoed panel, and is available.

Taken For Granted

Hello again, my friends,
Oh Easel, how I've missed you! As most of you that know me, know I have chickens, and bees, and 3 acres. I've even had goats...for a minute. The work, sometimes, seems never ending. In the Louisiana summer, the heat can make it almost unbearable. This painting was inspired by yard work. It's a routine part of life here, with all the grass and animals. The picking up of debris before the mower is even cranked is the normal way of things. Some things just should not be taken for granted, like my friend, Mr. Wheelbarrow. You don't realize how much you miss the small things until you have a flat tire on the wheelbarrow, and have a 50 pound bag of chicken feed to unload from the vehicle. This is a small painting and is 5x7 oil on gessoed panel.
