Company Come to Call

Hello Friends,

This was a fun painting to do. Sort of a different style than I usually paint, so it was a challenge to go into the folk art style. This is sort of based on the Southern tradition of not letting the daughter of the house visit with her fellow unattended. So the house maid is in charge of chaperoning the courting couple. The handsome fellow can come visit on his horse, but not without the watchful eye of the help. LOL So much fun! This painting is Acrylic on a 7X14 Stretched Canvas. The Original is for sale.
