The Band

Hello again, everyone.  Here is more inspiration from my trip to Natchitoches, La. During the "Art along the Bricks" Festival, there were so many artists showing their work. The music, the smells and the sounds were awesome! It was my first trip there, so I was a little overwhelmed... There was a group of people sitting together, kinda informal, playing music and singing. I snapped a picture with my cell phone and came home and did this painting. I kind of wanted to keep the faces impressionistic since no one knew I took a picture of them. Come to find out, the lady playing the violin, was actually another artist in the Natchitoches Art Guild! I had no idea! LOL This painting is my interpretation of that group of people. My paintings hung in the Natchitoches Art Guild for almost a year. I hope you enjoy.
